Hey Guys this is my first blog about the Digital Marketing,
But before we start let’s go back to the era where technology doesn’t even exist. This is a quote by Charles Darwin,
“ It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.”
By responsive to change it also means to easily adapt, and to do that, it means that we need to know about our surroundings and environment. This could be achieved by being active in the social media to search for information.
One of the point stated by Kaplan that I find interesting is to be active. I think that by companies being active in their social media, they would know about what the consumer thinks about the company or their preferences about the products. Company will then be able to satisfy the consumer.
Since I like Nike and their shoes, and most you would probably know about it, let’s take Nike as our example. Who doesn’t know Nike? We all know that Nike is very active in their Social Media. Nike created @Nikesupport twitter to reply the comments of the consumer. Every few minutes, Nike replies the consumer’s comments. Relationship of trust will grow within Nike and their consumer. By being active in their social media Nike uses all their opportunities to help consumer with problems and listen to their consumer preferences that will help Nike to build their relationship and improvement.
According to Sensis FACEBOOK remain the most social media used by the user with TWITTER and INSTAGRAM following behind. This is actually what I like about Nike with their use of Social Media. Instead of going with only one Platform Nike uses all the hits platform available to be able to reach more consumers. I personally, who doesn’t use twitter and rarely open my Facebook could still get the Nike information through Instagram.
